Transmission question

I'm having a little problem with the tranny in my 2014 3051s. When I'm in overdrive, normal shifts, when I'm in tow mode the trans won't upshift.
781 miles on it. I'm assuming this isn't good and wondering who does the warranty, the Forest River dealer or the Ford dealer.

On mine (2014, 3171) in tow mode the RPMs go much higher than when in normal OD mode. My p/u truck does the same. Owners manual stated that that the engine shifts at higher ranges in tow mode.

It doesn't shift at a higher RPM, unless 5000 RPM in 1st is normal. I get nevous right about there and back off.

Take it to Ford. You got a problem with the transmission programming.

Mine got way up there, made me aware of it for certain but I don't recall it being up as high as 5000. There is a built-in rev limiter. I was told by some folks that the V-10 will get high on the rpm and that it was normal but it sure gets my attention.
On a trip last month I had the cruise control on while heading up a step grade overpass and near the peak that V-10 went into scream mode (in OD, not tow mode). I didn't want to kick it out of cruise while still going up the grade but I recalled what I was told and let it go. On the way back I peddled that same overpass and the V-10 purred just fine.
I rarely use the tow mode even when towing our Equinox.

You might check into a tuner to re-adjust your shift limits.

I have a #3051S and don't use the cruise control on hills. It causes the transmission to go in passing gear with high RPM's. The Tow/Haul mode works excellent on roads that are not flat. It will slow your RV down on grades without braking.

I the 3051s into the VIP truck center to look at my transmission problem and , natuarally, it was working prefectly. Just like when I takke my car to the dealer. Hopefully, if there is a problem, they can it and fix it.
