Truma water pressure regulator

Hello everyone,
New guy here…
I own a 2019 Forester Transit 350 HD model# 2381 which I bought slightly used
last Spring. I’m currently traveling with it.
I have a leaky water pressure regulator which is usable after some repair but I would like to replace it asap. Its a Truma unit which fits 1/2” hose and reduces pressure to 30psi. Its a simple “remove and repair” job once I have the part.
If you’ve found an online (USA) source or a dealership which can get Truma parts I’d like to hear from ya. My initial search has been fruitless.
Thanks,
Doug

Why limit yourself to 30PSI? This is a decent regulator that is adjustable for a great price.

Bob, apparently it's a custom Truma component, part of the water heater. And Truma has a reputation of selling parts only to their certified repairmen.

Historical Search

There is more to this Truma 30psi issue than meets the eye. Personally, if it were me I would bypass it and simply use a standard 40-45 psi regulator. However it is not my call so happy reading…

Off topic for those who know: The big UNO is at hand.

Thanks everyone for weighing in. The story in the history is a real eye opener! I’m inclined to look for an alternative solution as you’ve suggested (especially since the part may fail again in another few years… yes I’m a tech cynic) but am not that familiar with the tech of the combi (furnace/water heater). There could be a reason in the engineering that the pressure is limited of course. For now, I’ve been able to tighten the bolts holding it together and the leak has stopped so that buys me some time to look into this further.
To be continued…

Truma water pressure regulator replaced

Gents,
Sorry for the delay in closing the loop on this issue! We returned from our trip to find a new water pressure regulator in our mailbox thanks to Kary Katzenberger and his staff at Forest River! That kind of customer service is above and beyond the “call of duty” and I am highly appreciative!
It took a few days to get settled in and get to the job. It took perhaps 10 minutes to install and leak check the part. All is well with our Forester and we’re planning our Summer/Fall trip.
Thanks again to everyone!
