1. I've reserved a site in Florida for the winter ands it's a 50 amp site. I have a 2017 3051s with 30 amp. Is there anything I should be concerned with? Never hooked up to 50 before. I have the adapter.
2. The TV in the bedroom is a 12 volt unit and the picture is very dark. Never had a 12 before so I don't know if that's common or this particular TV. My RV is in the shop right now getting the frig replaced for a leak on ice maker and I can't remember the brand of TV.
1) Most sites with a 50 amp plug also have a 30 amp. My TT is a 30 amp also but I've learned that as breakers age, they tend to trip at a lower amperage and breakers in outdoor panels tend to deteriorate quicker. I've been to campgrounds, connected to 30 amp plug and the shore power breaker kept tripping when A/C kicked in when my usage was only about 18 amps according to voltage monitor. So, whenever I'm at a site that has a 50 amp plug, I connect to that and let the breakers in my TT be the ones to trip if necessary. I have a hard wired power conditioner in my TT as well for added protection.
2) Most flat screen TVs are DC and the converter is either built into TV or its part of the cord. Identifiable by the "brick" in the middle of the power cord. A few have "wall warts" which is a term for the really big plug. If TV came with your camper, tell the dealer and try to find another TV on his lot to make a comparison. Hopefully it's just an adjustment needed in the settings of the TV.

About the tv. Ours is the same way, but it has to do with the tilt. If I stand up and am level with the tv it’s fine. If we’re laying down on the bed, it is dark because the tilt is not enough. I’ve thought of adding something to it, but we don’t watch it too much so it’s not too much of a bother.
Never looked at the TV standing up, always turned it on after getting into bed. Don't watch it much either but set the sleep timer and fall asleep. Just curious about the 12 volt TVs. Thanks.
When I had a 30amp rig, I bought a 50amp adapter and usually used that. I had the same problems as Mmcglynn264 described. The 50amp outlets seemed to be used less, so weren't as worn. I usually had better luck with the 50amp outlets.
