USB outlet not working
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know which fuse the USB outlet on the right would be? It's not working and never has. I half suspect it's not even hooked up correctly. Still, before I rip out the dash, I thought I would check the fuse box first. Unfortunately, the manual says "empty" but so many of the fuses are full.

Methinks a 2021 is too new for that level of knowledge. I would suggest you call FR and ask. They would know if it is Ford or FR and where the power source originates.

Rather than ripping out the dash, would it be easier to install multiple new usb outlets?

I know on mine that USB also feeds to the radio unit (as well as charges.) I wonder if it's tied to the radio fuse?

Thanks, Duckogram. How would I go about contacting them?

Cmulvey, there's a USB in the radio itself that does charge. And the radio is working well. I'm not sure there would be two USB inputs for one receiver. I'll check it out, though.

Removing the doghouse cover might help...
Do you have the Sony stereo unit pictured here? On my 2021 3051, the USB port on the right connects the the Sony head unit. It is used for Android Auto/Apple Carplay and also charges via USB. When using Android Auto, unfortunately every time I hit a small bump the connection drops. This is very annoying and I'm hoping it is just a loose connection behind that port.
If you have the Sony unit, there are two covers on the back that slide up. Behind the right cover, you'll see the USB cord that routes behind the dash. For a temp solution I plugged a new cord directly into that USP port (skipping the pre-wired one).
It appears removing the doghouse cover will better allow access to the cables behind that port. That is going to be my next step to try and secure the connection better. It might give you a better view of what, if anything, is connected.
Good luck and happy camping.

That will get you power, but you will not be able to take advantage of features like Android Auto in the stereo. I've come to use and enjoy Android Auto in my other Ford. For power, the two ports under the hazard light button work good.

My USB does not work either. How are you checking? I used my i phone with no success. My tech plugged his android in and it worked. I did some research and learned that the i phone may have different requirements and the charging port on the phone may be wired differently than the Android. The USB in my Ford chassis apparently is not compatible with my i phone.

The OP just mentioned his USB not working, he didn’t mention what he was trying to do with it. He said it never has worked.
Unfortunately, USB is a design type....some for power, some for audio, some maybe for both?

You can call 574-206-7608 which is a Sunseeker # but do not know who will answer as they change assignments often. I am pretty sure that whomever answers will redirect you as necessary.
or
Call 1-574-825-7000 or email ownerrelations@forestriverinc.com.

Good point K&T, I mixed my issue in with OP's topic, which is a little different. I'm not even sure if she has the Sony unit or not.
Safe travels and Happy Camping.

My 2018 2291s has a Pioneer radio and that USB on the right connects to the radio to play music and the phone.
The cable plugs into the rear of the USB then to the back of the radio. If you remove the doghouse you can see up at the back side of the dash. And i think I was able to follow the cable to the back of the radio. Maybe the cable is not plugged in at either end.
