Use of Levelers

We are picking up our new 2019 Sunseeker 3010DSF on Friday and are getting pretty excited about that. This is our first motorhome after having pulled trailers for many years so we are not novices, just need to learn the differences and the issues around pulling a (Toyota Corolla iM) toad behind. One question I have is related to long term storage using the leveling system. Can we leave it leveled all summer for a few months at a time or are they meant to be used for shorter durations.

I would not store mine with them deployed. I only use them when camping. Why give insects 4 ways other then the tires to get in.

If you were staying in a campground for a couple of months they would be down I see no reason why not. We just got back from our 2 month stay with no issue I just wiped them down a couple of times and sprayed lube on them before retracting them to leave

Should the levelers not be deployed before putting out the slides. We used to leave our travel trailers leveled and deployed in the driveway most of the summer

We have a 2014 3170 and I always chock the tires and level before deploying the slides. I also use manual level mode over auto because auto is a bit aggressive for the 2014. Is it necessary, I do not know. Just the way I do it.

Yes you can, but should you. A lot depends on it, I would say no if in a sea air e nviorment. Also even when I was in Florida this year for 2.5 months, yes they stayed deployed, but once a month a wiped the rams down and exercised them, only took a few minutes to do. Wipe them down , pull the slides in and retract the jacks. Hit auto level relevel and put the slides back out, maybe 15 min job. But I don't want them pitted or the seals to dry out, that's just me...
