Warranty for Life

What flavor BS are they trying to sell us on now?? Paid inspections for Life !! Market ploy on new W we haven't received yet.

My last trailer supposedly came with a... free... "Warranty for Life"... and what they don't tell you is that it actually costs you $300- per year for the dealer to inspect it and file the paperwork with the warranty company... But remember... it's FREE!!!

Yup was offered this when we bought our TT. Called local service center for quote on required inspection $300-$500 plus parts. Assumed there would be about another $100 in parts ( grease & sealant). Looked over what was involved in inspection and decision was easy. I can put the money in the bank and pay for the repairs out of pocket and be ahead. Many/some of the components in the RV are covered by a manufacturers warranty for more than one year. Unless you plan to have ALL maintenance work done by a service center, not a good deal.

I understand many of you can do this maintenance yourself but some of us can't I have a very good dealer and I know the required maintenance of this warranty does need to be done yearly so we do it..we paid $200 last year not much for a yearly peace of mind

It was supposed to be done on the 1st anniversary of the TT. It's already past the 2nd anniversary. Just got a letter from the stealer yesterday to bring it in and he'd get it taken care of with the Warranty Forever people.... Like others, I figure the $200/yr covers the cursory look they'll take to sell you on this and that. If you read through it, it basicly covers the appliances and not much more from what I see. If you got spots on the roof that need some dicor...$. 2yrs pass and you need bearings packed , sir...$. Maybe, maybe not.
