Water heater

Water heater fires up, runs a few seconds then goes out. A few minutes later it will do it again then fault light appears. When on electric works fine, any suggestions? 2861dsf

The Atwood/Dometic 6 gal dsi will do that if the thermocouple is not getting hot enough. Check to see if it is in the flame.

Is the gas on and the air bled out of the system? are the basic questions.
