So something steel inside the cab structure is getting wet. Could be the trim screws. Or maybe there are steel studs in the walls? If it is those, that indicates marker light, window, or roof leaks, huh?

I will be getting some vinyl trim insert in the next couple of days. I'll see what I can see when I remove the old piece.

I am going to order a "pinless" moisture meter on Amazon, or get it at Home Depot. It can check to a depth of 3/4", without making a penetration at all. This would be to use on the inside walls etc., to get an idea what might be in there.
The rusty water will most likely be coming from the screws themselves, indicating the butyl tape failed. Buy a box of new screws. Remove 1 screw at a time, fill hole with sealant and replace with a new screw if the old one is rusty.

Yeah, but that is plugging the bottom end of the drain path.

In my way of looking at it, stopping the water from getting in above the screws is the issue.

SidecarFlip, you might be right about the 60 MPH driving. Or maybe that's a fairly dead air zone on the roof. I would not be surprised.

I think the real issue is the water that is dammed up in the four corners. Last evening we had a tiny rain, literallyjust a few sprinkles. I went up on the roof to plan the repair. Each corner was holding water. Maybe it is only 4 ounces per corner, give or take. But if and when the seam fails like mine did, every tiny sprinkle will funnel 4 ounces of water into the RV.

I did a Dicor repair last night. EB Tape will be as soon as I can get to it, since we are on the road for a few weeks now.
