Water Leak Under Kitchen Sink

So it is me again! Appears that the water is coming out from the joint just below the sink. I am not sure but feels loose and wondering if I need to loosen it and push the pipe up? Just don’t want to make it worse! Appreciate the help! Click image for larger version

Might just need to have the large plastic nut tightened. Caution: Hand tighten only do not use tools.

There are plastic washers there. Put bucket under P trap to catch water. Remove the P trap and inspect them and reinstall.

If tightening the collar doesn't fix the leak, you might have to disassemble the p-trap and examine/adjust/replace the plastic slip joint washer.
Usually tightening the collar does the trick (hand tighten only). I tighten/check all mine at least once a year.

if it is leaking from exactly where you are pointing, that fitting can be tightened and it seals the drain pipe and the trapnec. Threaded and self tightens. There is also a washer/seal that seals the connection.

Id tignten first. If this does not stop the leak then loosen the connection completely and check the seal ring. It could be twisted/crimped or missing.

Of course it also could be the sink drain connection and leaking down to that fitting.

Pretty simple stuff normally unless there is a crack

Thanks to all the great advice! I disassembled the P trap and checked the seals and both appeared okay. I reinstalled and made sure the pipe was far enough up to the sink. Hand tightened the nuts and just like y’all said, no more leak! Thanks again for the quick responses!
