Water running out of the freshwater tank inlet.

I returned to my campsite and notice water dripping from the freshwater tank inlet. I took the cap off and water poured out for a bit. The tank was 1/2 full as far as I know. I drained the tank. Check out all water fixtures inside and out and did not see any signs of water. This has never happened since I got the unit in September of 2017. The only thing I did not do at this campsite was put on the water regulator. It's on now. I seemed like the water tank was being filled and coming out since it was full. Any thoughts?

Search “check valve” here. It’s common

There are usually more than one check valve in RV's so to narrow it down to your specific problem search "city water filling fresh water tank".

Or you can do the following

Turn off the city water, open a faucet, turn on your water pump and let it run a bit, turn off faucet, let water pump run til it shuts off, open faucet and let it run, your wp will turn on again, turn off faucet, let wp run until it stops then turn off wp, turn on city water. You may or may not have to follow the above a second time.
Never run your water pump while on city water.
