Weird Faucets?

So on my 2014 SS 3010DS the hot water shower faucet opens clockwise while the bathroom cold water sink faucet also opens clockwise as well. These are opposite of what is normal. These are both integrated units, i.e., the spout, hot, and cold faucets are one unit. BTW, the shower controls are also upside down compared to my other trailers I'm familiar with. In other words, the hose assembly goes towards the bottom as opposed to the more normal top towards the shower head. The hose on my unit then wraps around the handles to go towards the shower head.

Any idea what happened here and how to correct?

Our 2016 SS is same. My husband changed BR sink to a lever faucet.
But the shower doesn’t seem that easy. After 7 months in SS I spent a week with my daughter. Her shower was such a challenge! What faucet goes on that shower?

The same in 2016DS. You would have to remove the shower faucet assembly, swap the lines and remount the assembly upside down (hose facing up) to change the direction the faucet knobs operate.

Although it would fix the upside down problem It will just reverse which faucet is opening incorrectly won’t it?

Had that on a sink in my house. The cartridge in the handle was installed 180 degrees off. Pulled cartridge out and re-aligned it. Don't know if your rv faucet has ceramic cartridge but that could be fix.

If you turn clockwise now, when you flip the assembly, it would open the hot counterclockwise, because you also swap the connections.

alternate....

Did replace the bath sink facuet and outside shower, but we "installed" a label maker and use arrows to show closed for all levers. Helps with winterizing, also great for the interior door locks for our aging eyes.... tire pressures..... gen hours and date for oil.... storage boxes.... alignment marks on backup camera screen for the toad... satt recv, digital ant, and tv set up settings.... lock and key inventory....

Ok, I'm pretty much done...

X2- take the handle off to see if it is cartridge style. If it is just turn the cartridge 180 degrees and reinstall.

I pulled off the handle and...

I just see a plastic threaded piece so I assume it is not ceramic. It does not appear like I can just reverse the cartridge 180.

I guess my only option is to install a new one unless anyone has a better idea.

So this is weird....

I was going to disinfect the drinking water system and the weirdest thing happened. When I put the pump on water came out the BR sink faucets and would not stop flowing even after trying I shut both the cold and hot water faucets off. I didn't have that happen with the shower or Kitchen faucets. What's even more weird, today I put it on city water and I was able to shut the BR faucet off like normal.

Can anyone explain this weirdness?

Weird Faucets - Mystery Solved!

So being frustrated with the direction of these faucets and not wanting a member of the family to get scalded I decided to change out the faucets. I wanted to keep the same color so as I looked for them it became clear that Dura was the maker of these faucets. I gather they do a lot of stuff for RVs. I got them on Amazon. They are pretty cheap -

Dura Faucet (DF-SA100C-BQ) RV / Motorhome Shower Faucet Valve Diverter - Bisque Finish- For: Recreational Vehicle, Motor Home, Travel Trailer, Camper, Fifth (5th) Wheel, Towable
Sold by: Amazon.com Services, Inc
$17.43

Dura Faucet RV Bathroom Faucet with Arced Spout and Traditional Two Lever Operation for Recreational Vehicles, Travel Trailers, Motorhomes, and 5th Wheels (Bisque Parchment)
Sold by: Northbay Products
$20.66

So when I look at the directions it clearly says: that for "knob handles" you are supposed to turn the knobs counter-clockwise to get water to flow, but that for "lever handles", hot water lever goes counter-clockwise but cold water lever goes clockwise to get water.

So clearly what happened on my RV and it sounds like others is that they put knobs on the faucets that were intended to be used as lever faucets which is why one knob is correct but the other is not. Here's their web site if you want to complain:
