See, this is why I was afraid to ask about the plug laying there on my Chevy Forester console. HeeHee. Mine looks more like a big USB. Figured it was for the radio/GPS.

Well I have not been driven away, Just been very busy clearing a spot for the MH to live. CLeared trees, now to bring in 180 yards of fill to level. After that a nice crushed stone bed compacted, then run a power line for her and a dump station to boot.

Yes, I have a sense of humor and have very much enjoyed the interesting directions some have taken. Still waiting for a reply from a factory rep, but thinking they don't have any better answers.

Keep em' coming.

I'm more curious as to what that little black dot is above the USB port in the dash. My 2017 3011ds has that same feature but have no clue what its purpose is. Any honest answers?

That would be a standard audio jack so you can plug in an aux. source.

Still no definitive answer on the plug. Best realistic answer is, Plug is for a switch pack or additional feature not installed. Fix action, tuck it back up under dash and forget about it.

Is probably spare plug for something. You see that in the large trucks on the wire harnesses. They build 1 harness for dozens of different options, so there are extra plugs.

Don't forget to tape it up! RV Manufacturers try to save $00.0000001 and not use electrical tape, but you should. It may (probably) has a hot (DC or AC) wire in that connection plug. Worst case it will cost you $00.0000001, but save you $XXXXX.XX in peace of mind!
