What’s everyone towing behind their Class C?
All, Just curious what kind of TOADS folks are towing. I want to get a new pickup truck and I am considering the F-150 Super Crew 4x4.
thanks.

Have to watch the weight.
I believe some of the hitches can be upgraded to 7500 lbs but most are 5000 max.
We currently pull a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport behind our 3051.
Standard transmission so put in neutral, emergency brake off, and flip on the stay and play braking - ready to go.
We are looking at the Colorado as our next toad.

There's no sub category for toads and motorhome towing here but lots of individual threads and advice.
Checkout iRV2 for that category. Same software as this forum but alot more specific and easier to find information on toads and motorhome towing.
Anyway, towing a 2013 GMC Acadia Denali

I tow a 2018 Ford Fiesta. I didn't buy it to tow. I already had it, but it works well, and it's WAY under the 7500lb. tow rating.

We tow a 2017 Ford Fiesta SE. Tows with no problem, as long as you follow the directions for putting the Trans in neutral.

Mine has a manual transmission, so it's super simple.

I tow an 8 foot utility trailer holding my electric recumbent trike. It has a 40 mile range more if i pedal and can carry a bag of groceries.

Toad
We tow a 2008 Smart Car convertible.
Weighs about 2200 lbs
Blue Ox baseplate and a Blue Ox Aventa towbar.
I got the towbar gently used and it is rated for about 5K lbs, so I have room for a larger vehicle in the future.
Go through the simple tow prep procedure and down the road we go.
Hardly know she's back there.
Good luck with your research and decision.

Check out tow guide at RV magazine. It lists what can be towed with specs. When auto manufacturers began converting to variable transmissions it eliminated the capability to tow many vehicles. That's why my 2009 Honda CRV is still my Toad. About the only time it gets driven is part of an RV trip, like we are on now.

Our 2006 Saturn Vue just died. It WAS the go to toad for many for a long time. Just purchased a 2020 Chevy Equinox to be towed and able to tow our cargo trailer with the Harley. Now need to install the Blue Ox baseplate.

Watch your weight
I have a 2013 Ford Edge set up to tow behind my class C. I also have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe, manual transmission, 117.000 miles, set up to tow. The Edge was the original, but seldom tow it, now. Vivian Vibe is so light and easy. I purchased her specifically to drag her around-put in neutral, turn off, don't pull the key-easy peasy. If staying close to home, and on flat land, I tow the Edge. Hills or distance, lighter is better, and Vivian hits the road.
