What's your top Sunseeker modification?

I went out today to buy a Sunseeker MBS 2400 but walked away with a Sunseeker 2290S (Ford) because of the towing capacity and the price. I will be towing my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

I'm thinking through the first modifications I might want to make and I'd love to hear your top modification - the one thing you've changed that was 100% worth it.

What shocks did you replace with? Also, do you drive ford?

I did notice on my test drive that I had to fight a bit to stay straight in my lane. I'm sure it'll be even more challenging when I'm towing. Did you install the roadmaster yourself?

I have the 2500TS and replaced the screen door with a curtain type screen that closes in the center via magnets. I bought mine in Home Depot.

Makes it easier to close screen door and hold on to it as you leave something you'll do often

I also want to replace the dinette with two recliners. What recliners did you use? And I am looking at the door and wondering how I'd even get them in through such a small opening.
Do you have pics?

I would carefully check the tire valve extensions that FR provides. Mine leaked, caused flat tires, and were near impossible to inflate the tire... Pure junk is the best I'd call their plastic straws. Go to DuallyValves and buy a set of one piece metal stems instead of dealing with any type of extenders. To me this is a safety issue and 100000% worth it....

Then you can add a TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to monitor your tire pressure when you're ready to add it. This is also a 100% worth it mod that improves safety. FYI, unlike passenger cars and light trucks that have had built in TPMS units for years commercial van chassis do not require one...and FR doesn't order it on their chassis.

The backs come off the recliners so they will go through the door sideways without problems. I prefer cloth Lazy Boy recliners or leather. No faux leather as they will not stand up.

I have a Forester 2451, similar to your SS. The Chevy chassis has not required any mods to keep it on the road. Dinette gone! First set of cheap recliners bought to test feasibility...Gone! New recliners. Luv'em thanks to this forum! Lots of other "mini-mods" including Stowaway cargo pod and we tow a Fiat 500. New custom mattress. Oxygenics shower and upgrade kitchen sink faucet with "pull-out."

2 - Fan-tastic Fans with Vent Covers - Seriously you could ALMOST replace the AC with these things. - Easily the best mod on my list

520 Watt Solar - 40A Controller - With moderate sunlight it can easily run all my 12-volt appliances without touching the batteries.

Upgraded to 4 Group 27 Deep Cycle Batteries

12V - 24" Bedroom LED TV

ESI Cam With Magnetic Base to use as Rear View Cam while driving and backing up. I use 2 elastic bands and attach my phone to the rear view mirror.

Motor-home came with several 12V USB Charging stations so not technically a mod but a must have.

Here is by far the nicest recliner conversion of a Dinnet Area that I have seen. Hedid a great job. A frien just used his idea and done his and its great. Recliners come from CW.

Thanks.
I just cut the main table tube down 1.5" so it is easier to eat.
Probably should have cut it 1" since it is a little tight now but will do.

Still love the setup.
Would not have it any other way.

Hey Total, high five.... I did the same. The table on our (SS3010) was a little on the tall side, and I'm a pretty big guy.
