Wheel covers on a 2013 3010DS
We have a 2013 Sunseeker with the Ford chassis. We just had the tires changed out and when the new ones were put on the mechanic did not properly align the valve stems with the opening of the wheel cover. I tried to pry off the cover off with a wide bladed screw drive but the cover did not want to give and I did not want to force it. Does anyone know the proper way to remove the front wheel covers. Thanks in advance.

That's how I get them off. It's hard. Just keep working around the cover.

I have found a regular claw hammer to work best.

Before you do that, the valve stem extenders should swivel. Try to rotate them to align through the hole. If it's directly behind the and it will still not reach I would take it back to who put them on just out of principle. I wouldn't run the risk of beating up the simulator.

I also use a large flat blade screw driver. You just need to have patience and go slowly around the hubcap and it will eventually start to break loose. One it starts to break loose, just keep going around the edge of the cap and be prepared to catch it when it pops off.

Do your wheels have the Versa-Liner wheel covers? If so, all you need to do is loosen two of the fake lug nuts and the cover should come off.

Newer Sunseekers switched to snap on covers. Need a hubcap tool or large screwdriver.

I dinged up one wheel cover slightly. Anyone know where to get a new one? Expensive?

Best I found for one is direct from Dicor - $165 for rear. Local dealer wanted $ 235.
