Where is the fuel filter?
I have a Sunseeker 3120 e450 v10. I looked all under this rig to find the fuel filter but couldn't find it. A camper at a campground also had a class c e450 v10 as well, he said they have a lifetime filter located in the fuel tank. No filter to change. Could this be possible? Doesn't sound right to me.

Think he was correct. I've heard the same. I wouldn't say lifetime, just a pain to change should it ever need it. We have the forester version of yours, and I didn't see one either.

Don't think it's there. I think the F53 class a chassis was the same way if I remember right, but hadn't crawled under one in a while. Not surprising. This has been a topic on several forums and you'll see the same results there, at least on the later models. The older ones did in fact have one on the frame rail under the driver's door. I don't know what year they changed.

That's correct, the filter is in the tank. It also says that in the Ford owner's manual.

I just looked under the drivers door at the frame rail. No fuel filter. There is a section of hose about 4 or 5 inches long with a plastic connector. This short piece of fuel line says "Gas/fuel". Looks like this is where a fuel filter is to be added. But, no fuel filter. Has anyone added a fuel filter here? Thanks for your input, Randy

Why waste your money. Any fuel that gets to that point will have already gone through the filter in the tank.

When it plugs up and the engine stops!! Manual basically says it should never need changing but I guess if you got to 100K miles maybe you should. My experience with every EFI Ford I have owned (four) is that the fuel pump fails by 100K so it can be changed then as it is part of the fuel pump assembly.

Fuel Filter
Your Filter is located in the Fuel Tank I believe. (99.5%) sure.
At any rate, the filter is good for at least 100,000 miles.
Any Ford (or Chevy) dealer will be able to tell you for sure.
