Subscribed! I actually just bought 4 of them for my Surveyor SV305 for the idea of taking a little weight off the suspension to try and take some of the bounce out of the camper while parked as well as to help fine tune leveling side to side (Fine tune being key!)

Are they strong enough to use as levelers?

Technically no, but with some of my piss poor engineering I feel comfortable lifting one side or the other an inch or two. My plan is to install 2 of them on each side of the camper. One just in front and one just behind each of the axles. Doing this will help take some of the bounce out of the leaf springs and I feel would be fine in lifting some. They are rated for something like 6,500 pounds each and My camper fully loaded total weight is 9,500ish so I'm not worried about leveling some...

Keep in mind that y'all are in one of the motorhome forums. What works for a trailer may or may not work for a motorhome.

They were installed by my dealer at the rear. Great for stabilizing when parked, but I wish now I had two on the front. The key is to but a cordless drill with a long socket so you can stabilize and level the rig in about 1 minute rather than trying to do so by hand..

What brand of jacks were installed? where were they placed on the frame
in the rear? What type of rig do you have

Welded some U brackets to a set and bolted them around the 2x4 tube the suspension sets on a 5er. Worked good for me, Herk now has them, so you need to ask him how they work for him. To make a long story short, I ended up with a set of electric stabilizer jacks I modified and mounted in front of the axle on the 2x4 tubing. Much easier & faster deploying and work great.

talked to a guy that had them on a 30 ft. class c . he mounted them just ahead of the rear bumper on the frame claimed they worked well and looked to me to be a good setup. I would think that you would want 2 at the front also but looking at my 3170 the only way to use them would be laying on the ground. also I don't think you would be able to get much leveling out of them but they would add to the stability when set up.

that is what I will want is stability, I never lifted my motor home's wheels off
the ground.

Yes to the front, not sure how to install them, looking for someone who has
done this already. I don't need to be the leader of the pack.

We added the scissor jacks. 2 in front, 2 in back.

I'm not sure the model of the jacks as the MH is in storage. It looks like the picture posted by Oldcoot. I think they are simply bolted to the frame. As I mentioned the best advantage is having the cordless drill with a long extension to do all the hard work. I found jacking by hand crank took a few minutes and lots of sweat when it was +30 c, however with the drill this was a pleasure.

My 2860DS came with rear scissor jacks, it helps stabilize the unit due to the long overhang behind the rear tires. I use them to some degree to level the unit, but that's only an aside. I had a 2300 previous, scissor jacks not really needed.

KQ2N what year is your 2860? Mine is a 2010 it has a front stabilizer which I was unaware of until I learned about it from other threads here. Its ahead of the wheels and accessed from drivers side

Sportracker, my 2860 is a 2013 model. It's too nasty outside now to go check, but I've been under the unit to change the engine oil and look around, I don't remember seeing any front stabilizers, but sometimes I'm not that observant. I'll check it out as I have to do an oil change before our March trek south.

thanks guys for your input, I have been looking at the 5000 lb Husky scissor
jacks from the net, they have a flat lifting pad. I was on the net
where a guy screwed 2 2x6 on the bottom of the jack for a better
landing pad. Like I have said, I don't want to lead the pack.
