Question Wii connection

I thought I was going to put the Wii in our 2008 Forester. We plan to spend as much time as possible outdoors, but there will be rainy days. The AV connections are there on the side of the over-the-cab TV, so I expected it to be a piece of cake. Well, I cannot figure out how to get a picture. I set the TV to the proper channel, but nothing shows up. The Concertone DVD player works fine and displays a great picture. Any suggestions?

If it's av input, it won't be any " channel"

Keep hitting the input button on the remote.
