winterization 2012 sunseeker

i am having a problem getting the pump getting the pump to suction the antifreeze from a one gallon jug through a bypass valve.

I did as well. Another told me the valves only work in one direction. I checked and the arrow on the side was in the correct position so I took it off to look at it. Sure enough, it only works one way so I turned it over and I am now winterized!
