Winterizing

Has not been cold enough yet but since we are not going to use it until March, went ahead and did the winterizing. Something strange when I went to remove the anode from the water heater. No anode, just a plug. Unit is 3010 DS sunseeker with the Domatic water heater.

What is the model number of your Dometic heater?

Atwood water heaters do not require an anode. The tank is aluminum so not subject to the corrosion like a suburban heater.
Not sure what you have.

Right. It appears this is an Atwood heater with the Dometic name on it. See post #18 in this thread ==> http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...mb-198299.html .

Most of these RV's I believe have water heaters with no Anode as the tank is aluminum. So the only thing you need to do to winterize the water tank is drain as much water as possible and then put the intake valves in bypass.
