1st TT, 1st trip, 1st night and all the rain
In our first TT (Tracer 225M) and taking our first trip. 3 hours after leaving the house we got to Lake Hensley, CA around 5:30 last night and started setting up. Soaked from the rain.
It rained all last night - didn't sleep well because of the rain.
Got our "what we want next time" and "what needs to be fixed" lists going.
Having a blast! Will post pictures later.

Welcome to the site...My view is this, a camping trip in the rain is better than no camping trip at all. I have the fever so bad right now.

Rain is just weather. As long as your trailer didn't leak you had a great trip, although setting up in the rain can be somewhat of a bummer.

My first RV trip was to a Va State Park. Didn't know enough to realize it didn't have sewer hook ups and I didn't have a portable tank. The portable tank was the first thing to go on our list....to this day we've never again needed it. I tried really hard to convince everyone they couldn't run water, wash dishes, and shower like we were at home. We were there for 3 days and I don't think you could fit 1 more TSP of water in the grey tank by the time we left. The day we left it started sleeting and the roads started getting icy. It was a nice white knuckle trip back home. Best trip of my life

Welcome to the forum. On our first trip 4 years ago we had rain, freezing rain and high winds all weekend and still fell for camping and still glad we did.

I remember our first trip and our first night with our 1981 Vangaurd 24’ bunk model trailer many years ago. Our kids were small and we went to a forestry campsite only 20 miles from our home. I woke up to the rain hitting the tin roof of the trailer and just lay there grinning and loving the sound and all cozy and warm. A few seconds later I think…Oh crap I wonder if the awning is ok. I look out the window and sure enough the awning has this large bowl of water in it. I take off out side in my underwear and try to gently lower the far side post to slant the awning. As soon as I lift the lever to the leg it slams down with a thunderous crash and 50 gallons of water comes crashing over me as I was standing outside of the awning and my underwear ends up around my ankles. My wife still laughs so hard she gets tears in her eyes remembering the look on my face as she stared out the window of our trailer at her genius husband.
