Albuquerque balloon festival

Greetings:

We just finished making our reservations for our Upcoming trip in Sept/Oct 10. We are going from L.A. to Durango, Co, doing some fishing and then heading down to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fest. We will stop off in Williams, AZ for a night or two on the way to Durango. In Durango we're staying at the Durango RV Resort and in Albuquerque we booked 5 night at the "On site VIP" section. Now my question for all of you good folks is: Has anyone stayed at either of the CGs? If so, what are you thoughts?
thanks in advance
Manny

WE stayed at Canyon Gateway RV park in Williams AZ. It was a Passport America park and had long pull thru sites. The managers were very helpfull and the park was laid out very good. Just a short trip into Williams AZ. Good barbq. A gun fight on the streets of Williams was a good show. A lot of places to buy Route 66 junk..

just a word of caution...
the albq police and rio rancho police basically have issues concerning your rights...
they beleive New Mexico is not part of the U.S.
and will make up laws at their convenience, trust me.

Can you elaborate? I have lived here 5 years and have not seen any examples if this.
