Has anyone stayed at the campground in Alcova, Wyoming on the Alcova reservoir? I have found one review and it was positive. I will most likely be dry camping and staying 3 or 4 nights.
The Alcova Reservoir includes six campgrounds, 8 boat ramps, interpretive trail, and marina concession. The Recreational activities include camping, boating, fishing and interpretive nature hiking. The beautiful and colorful species of trout fishes are available there for fishing.
I stopped by a couple of camp grounds in the Alcova area during my visit there. I was there to fish the North Platte river and only looked at the ones near the river itself. There were several sites along the river at the public fishing access sites. All were set up for dry camping. They have, but I did not see any, full hook up sites. I think these are further up river next to the reservoirs. The sites were clean with some having concrete pads.
I am planning another trip out that way later this summer and will spend a couple of days there. The fishing was pretty good.
