Angel Fire, NM

We are going to Angel Fire NM on Wednesday and have heard that the road in from Santa Fe can be a little crooked, narrow with some steep downhill stretches. Has anyone been to Angel Fire from this direction? Will be driving a 40' class A with an F-150 in tow, I do have the stay & play braking system on the truck.

Yes it is steep and curvy the last few miles but doable. Eagle nest is across the lake. Neat little town.

I did it a few years ago towing a 39' 5th wheel plus heading into one of the worst storms ever I have driven in. It is fine just take your time, we even went as far as Taos, only thing I did was stop at the top of the pass to let traffic behind me get by.

It's very doable just do not be in a hurry at all.

Not sure if you're going to the RV Resort in Angel Fire but we loved it.

We did make it to Angel Fire and it was well worth the drive, although due to a mechanical issue we had to make the drive in from Taos at 9:30 pm, wow!! Angel Fire was absolutely great and is high on the return list.
