Anyone been to Yosemite lately?

Wondered if anyone has visited Yosemite in the past few weeks? If so, what can one expect if staying in Upper Pines, the only campground open in the valley? I understand there are no shuttle buses running and only village malarkey is open. Heard Curry village has catering trucks providing meals?? We have reservations for next month, but aren’t sure if we are going. They only allow 50% capacity at campground and notify you shortly before if they are cancelling you.

Sounds like a dream come true. Yosemite with half the crowds. Sign me up.
The place is a zoo year round
Not sure why you wouldn't go.
If you lose your spot head out to the Owens Valley and maybe boondock somewhere between Lone Pine and the Carson Valley. Mammoth maybe.

Amazing that no one has been to Yosemite over the summer. They have closed North Pines and Lower Pines and Upper Pines looks full. We may venture out this month and take a ride up there. Of course we have reservations and a lifetime senior pass. Should be interesting as there will be no foreign visitors that make up a big portion of the visitors. No shuttles either. We've been up there so many times, but this is going to be a unique experience. We've downloaded the Yosemite guide that the rangers give out when entering the park with all the latest.

We're at Grand canyon now, headed to Yosemite area Sept 8. We had to by a pass to enter the park as only so many per day can be allowed in. No pre purchased pass, no entry. As we were told. Bought ours online several weeks ago. Already have the senior life pass.
