Best Route into Glacier with trailer

DW and I have Camping reservations at Many Glacier campground at Glacier National Park this year. This will be our 3rd trip, but first with our trailer.

What is the recommended route with a trailer into Many Glacier?

US 2 west to US 89. North on 89. Just before Babb is the turnoff, Route 3, for Many Glacier. There is one section of 89, maybe 8 miles south of Saint Mary, that I hate driving as there is almost no shoulder and a very steep drop off. Keep alert in that area. Next time I go I plan to try MT 464 from Browning to Babb.

A few years ago I used the route posted above in and the MT 464 out. I don't remember how the distance compares, but MT 464 is a nice, wide, easy, safe road...practically an Interstate compared to the southern way in. US 89 is more scenic though.
