We will be traveling from hungry horse, glacier national park, Mt. to coeur d' Alene, Idaho. driving a ram 2500 diesel, pulling a 40 foot 5th wheel. wondering if best route would be to use I90 or rte 2 to rte 95?
My recommendation with a rig your size would be to head south out of Glacier through Kalispel and follow the west side of Flathead Lake to Ronan and south to I90. Very nice truck stop to refuel right at the I90 interchange. Then west to Cda. The hardest pull will be climbing up the east side of Lookout Pass on I90. All routes are scenic but the other routes are narrower with more curves.
