Big Lake Arizona

Got the wagon hitched up and heading up to Big Lake for a week or whatever. Last blast before I start working the Cotton harvest in late September.

Send pics when you get there. We haven't been up there since the big fires and would love to see how it has recovered.

Wife and I were at big lake, rainbow campground a few weeks back. Rainbow was maybe half full. Quite a few noisy generators and kids on atv's. Apache Trout campground was almost full. Sites with hook ups were completely full. There is really no evidence of the fire around big lake, all is green and very pretty. Driving from big lake down to east or west forks of the black river you can see extensive signs of the fire. East and west forks of the black river have numerous campgrounds, all appear green with little or no evidence of the fire. Happy camping to all.

Amazing you say Rainbow was half full. When you go on website to check them out, it shows everything full? Guess I'll find out when we show up?

My wife checked the website and it said rainbow was mostly full. Must be something wrong that website. We arrived on a monday and it wasn't even 1/3 full. It did fill a little more later in the week. Unless you're going over labor day weekend I don't think you will have any trouble finding a spot.

We just got back home and started to unpack. Had a great time with friends at Apache Trout campground. Drove down to Buffalo crossing on Blackriver. It sure is green and pretty up there this year
