Camp Grounds in Mesa, AZ

Heading to Mesa in late March to catch spring training Cubs games. Any recommended RV parks for a 4 - 5 night stay?

We are staying in one right now and have been very impressed. We have stayed a week and are leaving for Quartzsite tomorrow. Mesa Regal on Main st. is the park name, great pools, workout facility, happy hour daily. No cable buy good over air tv reception. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Take a look at Usery Mountain Regional Park. It's one of the Maricopa County campgrounds. Beautiful park!

By the way, I hear tickets for the Cubs are in short supply. Better get them before you go. I have some for Cubs vs Indians @ Goodyear.

X2 about Usery Park. Lost Dutchman State park is not far from there either. If at Mesa Regal, just a short walk out the entrance, is a great place to eat, Mid Western Meats. Reasonable prices to eat, and a great butcher and bake shop! Many good grocery stores in the area, as well.

Not all sites in Lost Dutchman have hookups. We are staying st Canyon Vista in Gold Canyon about 20 miles east of Mesa. There are 3 sections: permanent homes with Rv parking pads, longer term rv sites, and short term sites where we ars. Safe and quiet with lots of activities if you are into pickle ball, tennis, swimming, boche ball, etc. Be sure to get a site that backs south. The afternoon sun is a killer if you back north.

Sun Life 55+ RV Resort is just down the street from Mesa Regal on University Dr., both are Cal-Am parks. If your looking for a smaller more friendlier part, go w/Sun Life. I highly recommend it. Good Managers and Staff.
