It has been a long while but if I remember, I thought oregon state parks were much nicer. Especially beverly beach and cape lookout. Very cool history there though!

Cape D

Just got home tonight we spent 6 days there and we had a great time, weather was fantastic! Lots to do hiking, and biking several old forts and bunkers to investigate. We saw tons of wildlife even a Bear on one of the hikes. Neighbors had a boat so they did some crabbing. One of the nicest campgrounds Ive ever been to. I would highly recommend it to anyone the area.

We are heading into Oregon next month will do several spots on the coast including Cannon Beach....

Sounds nice! Like I said, it has been a while (12years) and I was a stuck up teenager. You won't be dissapointed with Oregon! I recommend silver falls, cape lookout, and beverly! All excellent state parks. If you decide on cape lookout, try a site on loop c near the yurts!
