Thanks for any responses.

No problem. The eastbound Washington Pass part is steep but it's done by all kind of RVs.

State highway. It has el gain and loss but the curves are pretty reasonable. I have done it in February during a snow storm at night n a 2wd vehicle. The best glaciated scenery around except for Glacier NP.

Take a few apples with you and stop in Newhalem to feed the Deer that hang out near the pull outs in town.

They're more polite than the Bears in other places

I bicycled over WA 20 from Anacortes to eastern Washington in my younger and thinner days. It is a very good highway, at least after it opens for the season in May. It is higher than the other major passes (Snoqualmie at 3000’, Stevens is 4000’, Hwy 20 is 5000’). It has more ups and downs along the way if I recall correctly. There is often road work near the pass as winter damage is extreme some years, so check the WA DOT website and plan for delays. I think 20 goes more miles between service stations than other routes. Hope that helps.
