Colorado Fireworks

Just finished booking our spots and am looking for your input and (honest) thoughts.

Our daughter will be playing in a softball tourney/showcase in Aurora, Colorado the last week of June through July 4th.

Starting in So Cal, we will stay our first night in at the KOA in Richfield, Utah.

While at the tourney, we will be at the Cherry Creek State Park.

Following tourney, we are going to Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA.

Then off to Grand Canyon Railway RV Park and then taking the train into Grand Canyon.

Any tips/hints on going over the Rockies; Richfield to Aurora? I saw that Doc Holliday is buried somewhere along our route...something to check out or not worth it? Anything you all would recommend we hit along the way?

Thanks !!

Richfield to Aurora it looks like you will hit 11500 foot elevation, still on Interstate traffic, just plan to run slow if necessary when climbing, watch for fatigue at that elevation, usually means oxygen deprivation, your starting (home) elevation looks like around 2000 ft. I fly on a medical helicopter and it does have an effect, especially for older folks, one day the elderly wife of a patient who was having a heart attack was flying with us, and strangely enough she began to show no concern for him and was commenting how beautiful it was over the mountains, at 11,000 ft we checked her blood oxygen and it was 80%, so we gave her oxygen too.

Just be easy on the kids if they begin to get irritable, may be oxygen deprivation.
