Crater Lake to Bandon, OR

We'll be at Crater Lake in July. Heading to Bandon on the coast. Any reason not to take Hwy 138 to Roseburg with a 30' TT?

Thanks

No, that is a great scenic drive. Follows the Umpqua River all the way into Roseburg.

Ok this is getting crazy. I drove 550 miles to Gallop NM today from west Texas. My neighbor for the night is a teacher from RoundRock Tx. We start talking he mentions he is going to Bandon Oregon in July when I mentioned I once lived in Eagle Point. Lived in OREGON 3 years never heard of the town heard about it twice in 5 hours. Good news I will be in Oregon in about 5 days after a few stops on way.

Yeah, it is a small world.....I used to live in Butte Falls....long before the WalMart in EP!

OP - very pretty drive on 138, then 42 to Bandon. Have a great trip.

I have been to Bandon Oregon many times, great place and beautiful beach, if you do take the shorter route which is 42S, its a little bit of a white knuckle road, narrow, some ugly corners with some steep drop offs into the river, Highway 42 ends up a little bit north of Bandon, cheers!
