Crescent City CA to Salt Lake City

My GPS is telling me to go all the way up to Portland on I-5 and then take I-84 to Salt Lake City. This just looks like it is really far out of the way. I will be pulling 34 foot 27RR in the middle of July. Anyone use a different route? I never travel over 65 mph so two lane roads don't really bother me. But want a nice road. 4 lane hwy would be GREAT.

I think I would head south to Redding and then across to Chico and pickup 395 to reno then I-80 to salt lake.

Google maps sez to take US 199 to Medford then 140 to Winnemucca then I-80 to SLC.

We like the Model T Casino and RV Park In Winnemucca (west side of town below the Walmart - the Chevron has easy in and out for long RVs and good prices)(good breakfast in the casino) and the KOA in West Wendover.

I believe (per Google Maps) Crescent City to Redding to Reno to Salt Lake City is 925 Miles

You can do Redding to Chico then to Yuba City to get on CA 20 (with a stop at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire..._Historic_Park) to I-80 to Reno but that's 969 miles.

I would do Crescent City to Medford to Klamath Falls (with a side trip to Crater Lake - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crater_Lake_National_Park) to Winnemucca to Salt Lake City is 842 miles.

Crescent City to Salt Lake

Everyone has his own way. I live in Oroville, and mine would be across to Grants Pass; south to Marysville, Hwy 20; east to I 80 and east to SLC. Nice roads, as short as any and probably the fastest. I pull Hwy 20 to 80 all the time. Little difference from road over the hill to Grants Pass.

Thanks Everybody. You have been very helpful! I think Medford, Klamath Falls direction is the plan at this point! I love this forum and the help it has provided! May God Bless all of you!
