Fort Casey State Park Whidbey Island

Hey, PNWers. I want to visit (not camp) Fort Casey State Park in about two weeks for an afternoon. I'm about 40' with toad. Does anyone know what the parking situation is for RVs? Thanks in advance.

Jim

it's been a while since I've been there but as I recall there are a couple of parking areas that are "loops". Should be able to park your rig.

Here's a Brochure for the park with a map showing parking areas:

Take a look at Google Map, satellite view. The main parking area is a long loop around a grass area. They park on the grass all the time. We park cars on the grass for events. You will be fine unless it's a very busy day. If in doubt, the ranger station is on the left, just before you drop into the parking area. They are very accommodating.

There is a picnic area parking at the top of the hill, but I'm not sure there is room there for you to get turned around. There is also a smaller, loop at the Lighthouse, but it's pretty popular, so it's unlikely you'll find a spot there. You can walk to the Lighthouse from the main parking area.
