Golden, CO to SLC, UT fly-by Dinosaur NM

Okay. I was lucky enough to get weekend reservations at the campground in downtown Golden, CO. From there, our next stop was supposed to be Salt Lake City, UT but I see that Dinosaur National Monument is kinda in-between so we might as well stop and visit it for a couple days

Where have others camped while visiting DNM on this route? I do need electricity hook-ups because our pets will need to stay in the trailer (and I'm afraid to leave the genny running outside while we aren't there bc someone might take it).

Also, Salt Lake City- where have you camped? The only thing I can really find with hook-ups is the KOA?? Is that correct- we usually don't stay in KOA's but if that's our only option- we will.

The SLC KOA is a great campground and a good location right on the train line. We stayed at the Vernal KOA. Can't help you with electric only campgrounds.

Thank you! We do not need an electric only campground- I need electric at the minimum.

X2 on the Vernal KOA. It's a nice little place with good open sites. Getting from there to SLC it's best to go US 40 to Heber then to SLC. US 191 has a real steep pass.
