Grand Canyon Trip
Just back from trip to Grand Canyon. Two weeks on the road from Florida to Arizona in a shakedown cruise for my 2014 Titan SL and my new 2020 Rockwood HW 277. About 4500 miles skirting the big cities and taking mostly secondary roads. Titan and trailer did great without a WDH even in some gusty stuff in central Texas. Great on interstates also passing and being passed by big rigs.
We planned to camped in State Parks along the way but could not keep to the schedule so ended up driving all day and staying at Air BnBs at night which my wife was booking for us. Worked well but increased our lodging costs.
Stayed at Trailer Village in the Grand Canyon National Park for four days in a Classic RV site #110. Pretty site at the end of a row among the pines and the Greenway. Bus stop about 50 yards from campsite that took us everywhere in the park.
Highway 60 out of Socorro NM off I25 is a very scenic drive with a stop in Pie Town NM for some great pie.
A great trip. Very pleased with the way truck and trailer worked together at some high speeds.
