All are great. Two "in the area" not yet mentioned - Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction CO, and Canyon de Chelley near Chinle AZ. As with Antelope Slot Canyon, Canyon de Chelley only accessible via tour with a Native American guide. Both well worth it.

Just a note. Devi's canyon campground in Arches will be closed from March to end of October 2017 and Arches itself might be a nightmare to drive since they are doing major road construction in the park and I believe at the entrance.
I guess the park is listening to the state and the county to do something with the entrance to stop the traffic backup on Hwy 191. The state police have actually closed the entrance to Arches.

I believe the two, barely used, back entrances to Arches will probably be open. However, one sometimes requires a 4x4 or at least a high clearance vehicle. The other is longer but last time I traveled it a regular vehicle could do it. Both of these entrances connect to the main paved park road so you will still run into construction. But if the entrance is backed up, might be worth the drive.
And one has some dinosaur tracks along the way.

We did Canyon Lands, Arches, Dead Horse and Colorado Monument this year in June. The weather was over 100 every day. We stayed at a commercial park just outside Moab. It was full every night.

Wow, got hot early! We are leaning toward fall, perhaps after labor day.
