Don't forget to stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona with seven women on your mind.

The Meteor Crater is an interesting stop, just about 3 to 4 miles off of I-40 and a little west of Winslow. There's a nice RV park right at the exit if you need a place to stay.

When going thru New Mexico watch out for speed corridors. They mean what is listed as max speed.

They did a month and a half ago. Tons to see in Amarillo. Also drive through painted and petrified forest on way to Winslow. We stayed at Oasis RV Park in Amarillo, USA Park in Gallup and then multiple choices in Williams. All nice places.

When we went on our trip we stayed in USA rv park. I was worried when I saw satellite view but I actually liked the park. Employees super friendly, decent pool and good food. Stayed one night then Williams Az. Again the stay was good did see a few recognizable dogs with there owners from USA rv park.

Weird I-40

I didn’t see where you mentioned ages, etc, but someone commented about the boredom…Cadillac Ranch with a spray can can be fun! Acoma is really interesting, as are the petroglyphs outside of Albuquerque. Old Town Albuquerque can offer shopping and Mexican food without the heat of the petroglyphs! Go stand on a corner in Winslow AZ, take the dogs on the trails early in the morning in Petrified Forest and Painted Desert or walk the paved trails to the ruins at Walnut Creek (I think that’s the name) just East of Flag. Between Holbrook and 93 in AZ, there were a lot of potholes and rough road earlier this year. You can turn up 93 and go through Vegas to I-15, stop at Hoover Dam, walk the Neon Museum at dusk and there was construction at Primm - leave Vegas early or late. Have a fun trip!!

I disagree. Fuel prices in San Francisco and other Bay Area places are higher than Needles.
In fact, I can think of many places in California that have higher fuel prices than Needles.

I've driven the I40 many times. As much as I can i use the old 66. lots of neat towns and attractions on it.

Some have already got you to Williams. Then there is Albuquerque NM, Holbrook Az, Winslow Az, Kingman Az, Oatman Az, Seligman Az.
Have a good trip. So much to see and do.

We just went through there…pretty bad, went through 3 construction zones where traffic came to a complete stop... we’ll be taking a different way back.

Hotspot~Texas

Currently, all of Texas is a HOTSPOT and should be avoided at all costs... Remain vigilant, mask up and stay healthy, these are trying times.
