highway 1 northern ca

Planing on taking my Solaire 201 SS (23') from Bodega Bay north to Fort Bragg on highway 1. I don't believe the highway will pose much of a problem. Can somebody comment on the drive?

Thanks, Steve

You will not have a problem getting on at Bodega Bay, have your camera ready that's a pretty section of highway #1. Lots of pull offs. Make sure you fill up in Bodega Bay, not many if any stations along the way. If you like oysters, there is a farm in BB. It's a beautiful part of California. Lived in California for over 25 years outside the bay area. Sailed under the gate many times, went North to Coos Bay a couple of times but preferred to turn left and sail south. Have a great time....

A month ago, I did Fort Bragg to Bodega Bay with a 40' motor home and toad. I did mostly inside hair-pin turns. The main problem was trying to keep a decent speed to keep the trail of four wheelers happy. Pulled over for them whenever I had an opportunity.

You should have no problem with a 23'. Safe and happy travels to you!
