In the process of planning a trip thru Northern CA and Oregon coast in Oct. 2016 stopping to visit Mt. Shasta for a few days and looking for a ideas on a campground in the area any thoughts or ideas appreciated.
Our favorite campground near Shasta is Lake Siskiyou. It really surprised us to find a warm water lake that high up that you could swim in comfortably. It's a great place for kids too. If you are checking out the Oregon coast check out Brookings. We stayed there about four years ago and never left. Love it here. There is a great RV park with the beach on one side and the marina on the other.
