NY to South West in January

Hello Frog friends. Thinking of our winter journey to maybe the S. West (Arizona area ?) instead of our usual St. Augustine FL. One intention would be the Barringer Crater. Would love to hear of the special places you all may have visited. We have a Class B+, fully solar.

barringer crater is the meteor crater near winslow. it is an interesting place to see. painted desert national park is nearby as is the grand canyon.

the issue you will have in january is the weather. it can be anything from clear and above freezing to near blizzard. so just be aware!

there are many places to go see in arizona but in january the weather will be the contributing factor. in general the snowbird destinations are the phoenix area and any place further south. these are at the lower elevations. north of phoenix you get into the higher elevations that get colder and snowier. and the journey from new york to arizona will also have to factor in the weather.
