Oregon hwy 20 & 26?

We are at Fish Lake , Oregon off of hwy 140 and we want to head east towards South Dakota. Were looking at hwy 20 and or 26 from here. Anybody travel these roads, and have any preferances? Thanks for your help.

I would go HWY 20 but that is just me.
It is a good road with plenty of things to see.
You can follow it to Vale, OR. left at the junction with 201 is Ontario, OR. right is Nyssa, OR.

Fastest hook up with I-84 is a left.

Hey, thanks for that info
Being new to that part of Oregon, I didn't want to go the wrong way, and then hear the Banjos playing LOL.

I'll second that. Hwy 20. 26 will get you stuck on all the the backroads heading into Idaho. Don't forget to stop off in Ontario for some fresh end of season berry pie and ice cream. You won't regret it.

No biggy, 20- 26 grow back together in Vale so the one you take is just a matter of preference.

Be aware that there is 13 miles of road work from the OR.-ID. line with one lane in each direction (east/west).

Then there will be some in Nampa a little more in Meridian, ID. and then some on the east end of Boise, ID.

If you can I suggest you avoid the Nampa to Boise area between 6 and 9 am due to the NASCAR race/parking lot that happens every day.
