Phoenix Area RV Parks

Going to be in Phoenix area in November and want to find a good RV park that is not one of the mega resorts. We are more interested in a smaller quiet park that caters to the traveler rather than the snow bird crowds. Not having much luck at the moment so I am looking for any suggestions. It does not have to be Phoenix. Mesa. Tempe, Scottsdale area would be fine.

Check out pleasant harbor RV resort. It is on Lake pleasant just north of phoenix. We have stayed there a few times while visiting our daughter in carefree. The city of carefree is a nice little town just around the corner. The resort has both short term and long term spots, is gated and is well kept. We enjoy our stays there.

We stay in Casa Grande when we spend a week or so in the Phoenix-Tucson area. The park we stay in is Val Vista, with about 300 sites, a pool, clubhouse, miniature golf, and pickle ball court, but no golf course or tennis courts. Although a lot of those sites are now filled with snowbird park models, they always have sites available for short-timers like us. The park is on the north side of Casa Grande convenient to I-10 and is about 30 minutes from Mesa and Tempe and 20 minutes from Chandler.

This our favorite park when we need to be in Scottsdale. It's close to a casino, shopping, and 15min from Mayo Clinic. But you feel like you are far from the city.

This a nice smaller park in Goodyear with lots of fruit trees that we enjoy during spring training and also close to Phoenix International Racetrack. http://destinyrv.com/phoenixrvresort/

Beware almost every park in southern AZ will require prior reservations due to snowbirds

eagle view rv park is about 10 miles out of Scottsdale. you are in the country. not much else, other than a casino, around it but only 10 miles or so to mesa, Scottsdale, etc.

+1 For Destiny RV Resort http://destinyrv.com/phoenixrvresort/ We are staying there now and it is very quiet and not too crowded. Very nice pool, pickle ball, horse shoes, dog run, little general store, etc. We had a little trouble with a breaker constantly tripping on the pedestal, so they moved us right into another space with no hassle. Been here for 10 days and really like it.
