Phoenix to Yellowstone National Park

Early planning stages for a trip to Yellowstone National Park from Phoenix, Az. We're pulling a Rockwood 2608bs with a 2008 Toyotal Tundra with the 5.7l V-8. I'm interested in the number and severity of steep grades going north from Phoenix on the I-17, over to the I-15, and continuing on the I-20.
Thanks for any information.

If you have no troubles on the really long grade on I17 into Flagstaff, then you will be fine for everything else.

We took I17 to 89 to I15 to rt 20 into West Yellowstone. The pull up to Flag is harder than the rest of the trip. We did it in July a few years ago. Take your time on 17 and you will be fine. Some crazy drivers put there.

I'm in Surprise AZ and heading north in June.

We have taken your route a few times and is perfectly ok if you plan to camp in the town of West Yellowstone.
-------------------------------------------
I plan going thru Las Vegas, and north from St George Utah on I-15 then hit I-80 East (Provo) then north to Jackson Hole on 89.

We have traveled up there other ways but this year we will use 89 as I was told its a nice drive in the motorhome.
We plan to stay a few nights in Jackson Hole then drive north into the south entrance of Yellowstone and out the west entrance and stay in W Yellowstone at the Grizzly RV Resort.

My trip will start in mid June and we have reservation at Grizzle RV Resort for the 4th of July week 7 days.

Here is my planned route up after I get into Utah.

This may be helpful. In fact all states have a dot page. Ie scdot, codon, sddot etc.
