Road between Dolores Colorado and Ridgeway?

Doing some trip planning for our upcoming Colorado trip.
Staying a few nights in Dolores, then driving to Ridgeway and Ouray. Planning to drive 145 past Telluride to Ridgeway. Rig is a 32 foot FR Sunseeker 3050s towing a vehicle on a dolly.
Anyone see any issues using this route?

TIA,
Mark

We did this year before last in 30' 2860 dolly towing a RAV4. No problems at all. Would suggest while in Ouray to check out Mt. Sneffels area to the west and the Uncompahgre Peak/Silver Jack Campground area to the east. A San Juan National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Map would be handy. I rented a Jeep which was not really necessary, but DW did not want the RAV4 to get dirty

There is just a ton of great scenery in the Ouray area.

Thanks poppy.
We've been to ouray before, just not in the motorhome. We want to get up into some of the basins, hoping there will be some wildflowers.
If you dont mind me asking, where did you rent the jeep and were you happy with it?
Thanks

Colorado West Jeeps and the vehicle was practically new and the people there were good.

We were newbs at trail riding in that area, but it seems a lot of folks rent ATVs, UTVs instead of Jeeps if they are just wanting to get around the trails in Ouray. Course they are not streetable and I wanted to go north out of town.

The downhill

Just be prepared to drop to lower gear. We drove our 2019 Georgetown 387XL and had no problems. The grade is about 7% to 8%. Drove about 45 mph all the way down. Also watch the road... the scenery is awesome, so you might get caught gawking :-) ENJOY!!!

Beautiful country. I towed a 32 ft trailer on that route last year with a Ram 1500. We will be bringing a 34 ft fiver through there in early October. Just take it easy and enjoy.
