Thanks for the recommendation Bob. After reading reviews of the other RV campgrounds around Colorado Springs, this place have the greatest reviews. Just booked for 6 nights for July. Can't wait to visit that area.

Deer wandered through the park just about every evening when we were having meals or campfires, and one of our folks got a picture of a black bear foraging nearby.

Unfortunately, two of the great attractions in Colorado Springs -- the cog railway to the top of Pike's Peak and the Cadet Chapel at the Air Force Academy -- are closed for renovations until some time next year. If you've not been there, be sure to visit the Garden of the Gods.
