Unusual visitors

Took a short overnight trip to the the National Forest closest to our home and had some unusual visitors, just at dusk we had these two moose walk right through the campground, just 200 feet from our campsite and kept heading up the canyon. Just 28 miles from home.

That's what camping is all about. Nice to enjoy the view.

Wife saw one last year while out on a horseback ride in eastern Washington. It's kinda rare to see them around here. However we have seen lots of elk, deer and a few bear while out camping in our favorite places.

Seeing the moose was pretty cool, but last year we were camping in Yellowstone in our pop-up and a bear left it's foot print on our door during the middle of the night, woke me up bolt upright from the sound... needless to say, it was our last camp trip in the pop-up, sold it and bought my current trailer

I'm always fearful of a bear trying to rip my compartment doors off to get into them when we are away. We don't store food down there but they can be destructive.
