What's to do and where to stay along 95 and how is that route?

Basically the drive is the typical high desert drive which many people call boring but I like the drive myself. Whenever we make that drive it is a 1 day trip but what I would like to do is visit the ghost town of Rhyolite. As I recall there is an rv park nearby but I have no idea if it is a nice place or not.

I usually make that drive at night, so I only really know the places to get fuel

One of my favorite spots is the alien museum travel center and brothel. Cheap diesel and then you can say you took your wife to a brothel.

We had to bypass 95 on our way home from our one and only trip to Las Vegas due to the passes over the Sierra's being closed due to snow. At the recommendation of an aunt we had planned on staying at the Whiskey Flats RV Park in Hawthorne. Second-hand recommendation, but there it is.
