12 volt front windshield shade

I have a 2012 Georgetown 329ds. The front window shade is acting up. When I depress the switch to lower the blind there is a very low beep sound coming from the shade and then the shade goes down about 8 inches and stops. To bring the shade lower I must depress the button again for it to lower another 8 inches. Its the same procedure to raise the shade and sometimes nothing happens. Its seems like the motor is not getting the correct voltage, or is going bad. But I am not sure. Maybe need to replace the shade. Any suggestions?

No it sounds like you need to reprogram it.
This happens when a battery is disconnected or something.

Here is the programming instructions.
You should have some instructions for it if you bought it new.

Good luck

Thanks for your quick answer. You are probably right. I did pull the battery terminals off to clean them the day before the problem started. I have one more question. Do you know where the setting key is located ? I haven't been out to look just yet in the rv.
Thanks

It should be stowed up at the left end of the shade roller with the power wires.

Last time I checked it was tucked behind the plastic vertical pillar cover at the top drivers side.

Wow, thank you Iggy. Or salesman told us we could lower the front shades partially while driving to act as a sun shade. When it didn’t work that way I assumed it was just another case of salesmen not knowing what they were talking about.
I reprogramed the shades according the instructions you supplied and they work as they should have. Also, I too found the key(button) behind the plastic cover on the left side of the windshield.
